The expedition group will entered Tibet from western China. The group travelled eastwards across the Tibetan Plateau with the Karakoram and Himalayan Mountain ranges to the south. In western Tibet the team undertook major treks including the Kora of the shores of Lake Manasarovar, sacred to Buddhists and Hindus.

The three week expedition involving diving, project work and sea kayaking.
The first week saw members completeing the PADI Open Water Diver qualification.
Ramla Bay was the setting for a dune project overseen by BICREF. It involved supporting the current and continued work by BICREF in this unique environment.
A circumnavigation of the island had to be cancelled due to bad weather and a sea kayak trip across to Comino was hastily arranged to complete the expedition.
